These figures, spiritually united by the obligation of jihad, became part of an informal movement. Among them, Ustad Farhatullah Ghori began as a servant and a soldier, and over time, he became its voice and face.
His name gained prominence in jihadist circles after his alleged involvement in planning and aiding retaliatory operations following the genocide of Muslims in Gujarat. While global powers labeled these actions as “terrorism,” for millions of Indian Muslims, it was a clear message — the oppressed would no longer remain silent.
He provided assistance and backing to operations such as the 2005 Hyderabad Police Commissioner’s Office operation, after which Indian agencies launched an international manhunt, eventually forcing him into exile from the Middle East.
Even in exile, he continued his resistance activities, focusing on mentoring new Mujahideen recruits, fundraising, and ideological training, becoming a key figure in the exiled command of the mujahideen. His speeches called on youth to rise in defense of Islam and justice.
After being forced into exile in the 1990s, Ustad Ghori narrowly escaped several arrest and assassination attempts. In 2022, he re-emerged on social media, shocking the Hindutva establishment, once again calling for resistance against Hindu occupation of India.
His return to the public sphere caused chaos and despair in Indian media and security circles, which had claimed to have silenced all resistance voices from the country.
The Indian government labeled him a terrorist — a term they use, for anyone who dares to stand against their oppression. But in the eyes of other Muslims, this label is seen as being on the right side of History.
Today, Ustad Farhatullah Ghori is not only known for calling people to jihad and resistance but also for advocating unity and coordination among all mujahideen groups, to build a unified front against the enemies of Islam.
From Kashmir to South India, he calls for a united Resistance movement, aimed at defending the lives, honor, and property of Muslims.
Though his current location remains unknown, his message lives on — continuing to inspire the belief in the hearts of youth that honor, survival, and protection are only possible through jihad.
